PostWhere did all the Dockers go? (Early 2010 blog.)

New coach Brent Plant has had to deal with what has been described as a player exodus, and according to the clearances and rumours, the former players have scattered far and wide. Some players have decided to stay close to home and enter into a local league such as Craig Stretton, and Brad Davis who head to the Wivenhoe Ground to play for South Burnie in the Darwin Football Association Callum Spiller has also departed for the Darwin Football Association as well. Tim MacMichael has also joined the Darwin Football Association heading to club Somerset.

The other players from Burnie have scattered themselves either all over the State, or have managed to gain a new home outside of the state. North Hobart has been a big winner in the mass walk out with Clinton Brown their new coach, and former AFL Draftee Jesse Wells joining them, as well as Billy-Jo Jackson, & Zeke Gardam.

Coastal Rivals Devonport have managed to pick up Matthew Smith and Jye Reeves but the Dockers have managed to secure Brentyn Milverton from the Magpies, the Dockers have also signed Damon Smith a young star from Smithton, and Ulvestone Premiership player Cameron Upton.

Dockers coach was said to be over the moon to have secured Brentyn Milverton, but they have still lost a few other players the list read as a whose who of the Dockers, Justin Plapp former Coach has joined Box Hill Hawks for a possible playing role with the VFL team's reserves, and a definite coaching role with the reserves, forward line coaching for the seniors and working with AFL club Hawthorn's first years. But his playing days might be over at least this season as the Dockers are asking $15,000 before they will clear him to the club.

Jacob Hislop will also try his luck in Victoria, having signed with club Doncaster, where another former Docker, Adam Bester, is in residence as a coach. It's still unclear if development officer Tyson Mihocek plans to play football now that he has moved to Victoria for university

The Dockers have also lost two young stars to new AFL side Gold Coast, Maverick Weller, and Luke Russell were apart of the first players signed by the side. While Brendan Blizzard has gone west to play in Western Australia apart of their South West Football League. Some Dockers have also chosen to head across the river to Penguin where former Burnie Reserves coach Brett Holohan has taken up residence, these players include James Lovell, Nathan Peters, A.McCall, Sam Edgerton, Matthew Bowen, Nathan Holohan, & Todd Munro.

Sam Douglas, & Ben Grubb are headed towards Wynyard, there were rumours that assistant coach Luke Shackleton was headed that way, but they were just that rumours. North Launceston has managed to pick up Zane Murphy, Alex Hartley while Zeb Graham has also joined Hobart.

There are expected to be a few more players leaving the club these are some names who have already departed the club, and a couple that have actually joined as well.
